Siena Wine – Tour

Driving through beautiful Umbria and Tuscany countryside we reach Siena, one of the most beautiful towns in Italy, surrounded by vineyard and olive groves.

Narrow, scenografic lanes lead to the centre of the town, “Piazza del Campo”, a square known all over the world for its “Palio”, a horse race, held each 2nd and 16th August.

“Santa Maria Assunta” Cathedral was built in Romanesque-Gothic style, and it’s one of the most beautiful churches of Italy.

The “Torre del Mangia” is about 102 m high, you can go up thanks to a narrow circular staircase.

We leave Siena and head to San Gimignano, a lovely Etruscan-founded town famous for its 15 medieval towers, so that it has been nicknamed the “Manhattan of the Middle Ages”.

On our way back to Rome we can have a stop at “Tenuta Torciano” for some oil & wine tasting (Chianti Classico, Brunello di Montalcino and other prestigious Tuscan wines).

- Full day approx 11 hours, departure from Rome

- We are flexible: if there is another place that you wish to see, let us know it.
